Victoria’s 2024-25 Skilled Visa Nomination Program is officially open, providing an exciting opportunity for skilled migrants looking to make Victoria their home. This program offers nominations for two key visas:

  1. Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190): This permanent visa is designed for skilled migrants who wish to live and work anywhere in Victoria, offering a direct pathway to settling in one of Australia’s most vibrant states.

  1. Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa (subclass 491): This visa is tailored for skilled migrants who are looking to live and work in regional Victoria. It not only provides an opportunity to contribute to regional communities but also serves as a stepping stone towards permanent residency in Australia.

To be considered for selection under Victoria’s skilled visa nomination, applicants must first submit a Registration of Interest (ROI). This is an essential step for those seeking to join the competitive pool of candidates vying for a nomination.

Submitting Your Registration of Interest

For those with an existing Registration of Interest from previous years, please be aware that all previous ROIs have expired. To participate in the 2024-25 program, you must submit a new ROI that meets the current eligibility requirements. It is also essential to ensure that your SkillSelect Expression of Interest (EOI) is up to date and accurate.

The process is straightforward, with no cost associated with submitting a Registration of Interest or a nomination application. However, keep in mind that submitting an ROI does not guarantee nomination, as the program is highly competitive. Your ROI will remain in the system until you are either invited to apply or withdraw your application.
